My Story
Hi!
I’m so glad you are here. I have to start by saying that I have always loved to make things. I learned to crochet in high school from my mom. I still love making afghans, scarves, dish scrubbies, and so on.
After I got married to my wonderful husband David, and started a family, I hung out with my grandma who taught me to quilt. My mom began taking quilting classes and she really added to my education. We had a small sewing group for many years with family and friends.
Being in a sewing group with others who love to sew taught me so much! Not only did I learn many new techniques, I also learned that sewing together with others is motivating, inspiring, and much more fun than sewing alone.
I’ve been sewing, quilting, and doing machine embroidery now for over 20 years and it has become one of my passions. I want to share my excitement and enthusiasm for sewing with you!
For the past 26 years David and I have lived in our home on 20 acres in central Ohio. We raised our three boys here and now they are all adults.
We have an adorable goldendoodle named Mandalyn (our boys all sing and play many different instruments, so naming her after one was inevitable!) We call her Mandy for short.
Is there more to life than sewing?? Why yes, yes there is! I also love gardening, canning, flowers, cooking, decorating my home, and traveling.
